A Change At HHS

Melanie Bilbao and Kyara Guillen

This school year has brought Hawthorne High School students an unexpected change. The administration decided to split the lunches in half. What has become of this new lunch schedule? Students seem to have their disagreements on this new take. The Clarion has decided to ask HHS Principal Mr. LaGrone about the new schedule.

Interviewer: Have you gotten a lot of complaints about the new lunch schedules?

Mr. LaGrone: I actually have not gotten any complaints, but I have gotten questions before the school year started.

Interviewer: Have students approached you asking to switch their lunches?

Mr. LaGrone: No…ironically no. The students are actually happy that they have lunch at least two times with their friends.

Interviewer: Is the courtyard going to have any significance anymore?

Mr.LaGrone: Absolutely…we are very lucky to have one. We are going to open it up on Friday’s soon.

Interviewer: Do you see an improvement on the outcome of the changes you decided to make?

Mr. LaGrone: Yes…absolutely from a discipline level and safety level.

The Clarion would like to thank Mr. LaGrone for his time. As you can see the changes made here at HHS had a huge impact already this year. We look forward to any new changes that are going to be made this year and the years ahead of us.
