Spanish Club is Starting Off Spicy!

Day of the Dead

The Hawthorne High School Spanish Club is starting off the new school year with exciting upcoming events! They will have fun activities, fundraisers, and even a field trip!

Starting off,  the first event the Spanish Club will celebrate in school will be called The Day of The Dead, also known as La Dia De Los Muertos. This day honors our Hispanic ancestors. In Mexico they celebrate by face painting, dancing, having music, and putting up massive decorations.

On this day the Spanish Club will celebrate by having their faces painted, creating beautiful flower crowns, and making decorations! The Spanish Club is having a t-shirt fundraiser as well: each shirt is short sleeved, royal blue with white lettering!

Each t-shirt cost $15.00 each and the sizes are available in small, medium, large, and extra large. For any further information ask Mrs. Martinez or Mrs. Rivas.
