Spirit Week has concluded, and the results are in. Each day, many students participated: the halls were filled with red, white, and blue on Monday, people sported hats and vacation gear on Tuesday, everyone prepared for a workout on Wednesday, each grade proudly displayed their colors on Thursday, and finally, the whole school demonstrated their school spirit by wearing blue and white! Each day the scores shifted with the seniors mostly leading the pack.

Hallway decorating was a major contributing factor to the scores as well, and on Thursday afternoon, students went all out to transform their hallways. The freshman hallway was like walking straight into a video game with Pac-Man characters all along the walls. Sophomores transformed their hallway into a city street with posters, huge brand names, and tall buildings decorating the walls. Walking into the junior hallway was like walking into the Wizard of Oz, complete with elaborate posters and effects. Finally, the seniors went under the sea in the ways of Sponge-Bob, which included dramatic lighting and all the characters along the walls. The winners of the hallway decorating contest were the juniors, and followed in second by the seniors!

However, winning the hallway decorating didn’t assist the juniors in taking the lead. The overall winners of Spirit Week 2017, were in fact, the seniors! Congratulations to the graduating class of 2018 for showing all of their school spirit!
