On November 14, 2017 there was a workshop in the Hawthorne High School media center taught by HHS principal Mr. Dan Lagrone on how to tie a tie . During the course of two separated lunch periods Mr. Lagrone showed students an easy and simple way to tie a Windsor neck tie.

Mr. Lagrone taught the students a beginner way to tie a tie,  then a more advanced and difficult way to tie a Windsor. For the beginners, Mr. Lagrone displayed a short tutorial to help the novice students understand the basics and the use of a neck tie.

At the end of the session whoever figured out how to tie the Windsor tie received one of Mr. Lagrone’s special ties as a reward.
