¡¡¡HOLA AMIGOS!!!

On Friday, November 3, many students and teachers were able to enjoy the annual Spanish Festival. This year not only did the Spanish Honors Society help prepare for the festival, but the Spanish Club did too! There was homemade food that was muy deliciosa! Along with Spanish desserts and drinks. There were fun activities like Just Dance, Zumba, dominos and Spanish music to dance to.

The theme for this year’s festival was La Dia de Los Muertos, or The Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday dedicated to celebrating the dead. From the minute anyone walked in they were instantly greeted by sugar skulls. Everyone from the Spanish Honor Society or Spanish Club had their faces either painted or covered with glitter along with beautiful flower crowns.

Many people were able to enjoy the homemade food that was available. There were different styles of rice and beans, empanadas from different cultures, and a variety of Spanish desserts and drinks. People couldn’t stop buying food and Spanish sodas. Even the members of the Spanish Honors Society and Spanish Club couldn’t wait to get there hands on the amazing food!

Overall, the festival was a big success making a grand total of around of $670 along with giving a lot of people an unforgettable day.
