Media Arts Field Trip

Dmitry Kochetov

The Trinity Church

On May 1, Mr. John DiLonardo took his Advanced Media Arts and Intermediate Media Arts students on a walking tour through lower Manhattan. The tour was based on architect and graffiti. The tour guide, Rick, also told the group about famous movies filmed in the area.

The tour started at the American Indian Museum and ended in Little Italy with many stops in between such as the New York Stock Exchange, Trinity Church, and City Hall. The group was able to see many historical sites, such as where Alexander Hamilton was buried. All of the students truly enjoyed the tour, because not only was it educational, it was fun as well.

After the tour students had free time in Little Italy. The group stopped at Ferrara Bakery for gelato, then split into smaller groups for lunch.

Overall, the trip was a huge success and students cannot wait for the next one.
