Six Flags Field Trip
June 1, 2018
On May 11, HHS students that are currently enrolled in Pre-Calculus or Calculus had a school trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, where they incorporated their math skills and turned it into fun. The Pre-Calculus students at HHS are currently working on group roller coaster projects, where they have to build a roller coaster by hand, and this was a fun way for them to learn how roller coasters work and it gave them some ideas for their projects.
Mrs. Pasquale, Mr McMann and Mr. DiLonardo accompanied the students during the trip. On the trip, the students were allowed to roam the the park and go on their favorite rides like Kingda Ka, Batman, El Toro and Nitro. It was a nice day out and luckily there were no issues with the weather, and for those who enjoy the thrill of roller coasters, it was a fun trip.
Some of the students even rode a roller coaster for the first time and it was a great time for all. All students going into Pre-Calculus can be excited for this trip! This field trip makes up for the hard work the students put into making their roller coasters.
Overall, the trip was a great success and it was a great experience.
