Hawthorne’s Fight 4 Autism Concert

Jenna Ventrice, Editor

On Sunday, September 16, 2018, Fight 4 Autism threw a free concert at the Boro Bandshell here in Hawthorne. Many local musicians participated in the show, including one of Hawthorne High School’s very own students—senior, Anthony Limone. With popular rock music, delicious food trucks, and family and friends, the concert was bound to be a success. Over the course of the day, hundreds of dollars were donated towards Fight 4 Autism.

Fight 4 Autism is a non-profit organization founded by Lori Fiordilino and Johanna Burke, who are both mothers of autistic sons. Fiordilino and Burke work together to help families living with autism throughout northern New Jersey.

The two host many special events and fundraisers to help educate and spread awareness for autism. Even Jacqueline Laurita, former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, showed her support towards the cause by helping put together the event and appearing on CBS with Burke and Fiordilino to discuss the importance of autism awareness.
