It is no secret that here at Hawthorne High School, nobody is shy about showing their school spirit.

One way our fall athletes do this, is by wearing their uniforms, jerseys, and other things of that nature to school when they have a game coming up. The football players wear their jerseys and so do the soccer players, but what about the cheerleaders?

What do they get to wear?

For a couple of years now, the cheerleaders have been prohibited from wearing their uniforms to school due to the fact that they violate the school dress code. Because the cheerleaders and their coach believe that they should be able to wear their uniforms to show school spirit just like all of the other fall sports teams do, it was decided to buy new uniforms.

These particular uniforms have a longer skirt and a couple more small modifications to make the uniforms more school friendly. Twenty-one uniforms were purchased at $80 each, adding up to a total of $1,680.

Although these uniforms followed the guidelines of the school dress code, it was decided yet again that they were not permitted to be worn in school.

Many view the reasoning for this decision to be invalid and blatantly unfair. So, how do you feel about this situation? Is it understandable or unfair?
