A couple of months ago, Hawthorne High School had its first-ever Virtual Spirit Week in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The never before seen event was a success in bringing students, staff, and even alumni together during these tough times. Well The Clarion has great news, Virtual Spirit Week is back and better than ever! Like last time, students and staff can get in on the fun by sending a picture of themselves in each respective theme by noon via emailing or direct messaging Ms. Russo on Instagram: @hhsbears. Virtual Spirit Week starts on Monday, May 4, and ends on Friday, May 8.

The themes are as follows:

• Monday, May 4 is Memory Monday, show everybody your favorite school memory.
• Tuesday, May 5 is Team Tuesday, Wear your favorite sportswear/jersey, no matter what you wear we are all on Team Hawthorne!
• Wednesday, May 6 is Work from home Wednesday, display your out homework set up, and your quarantine business attire.
• Thursday, May 7 is Special Hobby Day, show off a new hobby you have learned during quarantine (i.e. cooking, knitting, painting, etc.).
• Friday, May 8 is Furry Friend Friday, take a stunning picture of you and your pet.

We are happy that this spectacular event has returned and we hope you all participate and show off your bear pride.
