The Hawthorne High School football team is 2-1 so far in the season.

The first game was against Becton on September 3, with a final score of 26-0. Hawthorne won that game against Becton.

The next game was a loss for Hawthorne with a score of 21-27 vs Rutherford on September 17. On September 24 they played New Milford, at New Milford. They gained another win with the score of 48-6. Which made them 2-1 in the season so far.

The HHS football team is #3 in the league. The football team is #6 in the New Jersey division north group 2 and #101 in the New Jersey state football league. The team’s next game is against Glen Rock, which is a home game.

This week’s football game on October 1 is the homecoming game. Next week’s game on October 8 they are playing against Garfield at Garfield.

The HHS head football coach is John Passero, along with 4 assistant coaches: Bryan Bigica, Daniel Dykstra, and Paul Wojciechowski.
