New Supreme Court Nominee…
March 15, 2022
We all remember the time in history when only white men were allowed on the Supreme court and it took years for a woman to be added.
History has been based on inequality between men and women, and whites and people of color.
If you just look back at the history of the Supreme Court you will see no diversity whatsoever. It’s disappointing that it took until now to have a woman of color to be nominated for the highest court in the land.
President Joe Biden nominated a woman named Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court. Biden explained how he related to her work and how he familiarized himself with it.
Biden was impressed with Jackson’s life story, this included, ¨her rise from federal public defender to federal appellate judge — and her upbringing as the daughter of two public school teachers and administrators.¨
She was born in Washington D.C. and her father was a lawyer, which sparked her interest in law. She attended Harvard Law school and then became an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
After all those years of working hard for her dreams she got nominated by our President to be a member of the Supreme Court.
