Something that is very important in all schools are the teachers and principals. With this in mind, The Clarion asked the fellow students of HHS  the following question: What makes a good teacher? The following students had all had similar answers.

The first student asked was Sofia Sancho (Junior). She said, “All of the hardwork and dedication to the school is what makes a good teacher.¨

Next up was freshman Natalya Batista and she stated that, “I want a teacher who is understanding of students and who doesn’t go too hard on them.”

Breanna Curcio, also a freshman, said, “I think not giving the students too much work all at once and not being harsh to students can make a really good teacher.”

A handful of students had the same answers because they all feel that teachers just need to be understanding and nice to students.

Zayna Jatker (freshman) said, “I want  teachers that can understand students…and for teachers to be more understanding of the students and lenient.”

Kate Nadirashvili, who is a freshman as well, said, “being  kind and respectful makes a good teacher.”
