The Hawthorne Convenience store on 413 Lafayette Ave sells great empanadas in several different flavors: cheese, chicken, chicken and cheese, and beef.
This store has been around since 2016 and the owner´s name is Jose A Rojas, he’s sweet and lightens up your day with a single joke.
Not to mention the food is incredible…it really is the best empanada in our area.
They don’t just sell empanadas…their menu varies from bacon, egg, and cheese bagel breakfast sandwiches to a chicken classic sandwich.
The food tastes even better when it’s a five minute walk back to the school.
