Do your homework…get those grades up!

Grades are very important and it is important to try your best to keep up your grades. If you let them slip, which can happen, it may take a lot of work to get them back up. You want enough points for a marking period so you don’t have to either retake the class or go to summer school.

One way you can keep up your grades is staying on top of your assignments. Don’t fool around in class and pay attention. Try to get as much classwork done as you can so you don’t fall behind. If you have homework, make sure to get it done when you get home. If you sometimes forget, set a reminder or make sure to check your classroom when you get home.

Another way to keep your grades up are good study habits. If you have an upcoming test STUDY! If you don’t study you will not do your best on your test which will hurt your grade. When studying make sure you study until you know the material 100%. If you don’t know then try to study more, so you know it by heart. A way you could study is making flashcards or maybe even making your own quizzes. These are more effective than just reading over your notes. It helps to stick in your head longer and to remember it more.

If your grade is low and you don’t know how to get it up, ask your teacher. They will tell you if you have any way to get it up. Teachers try to help you out the best they can, but if you never do any of your work that’s on you. So try to stay on task and on top of your work to keep those grades up!!
