Towards the end of the school year most people just give up. They don’t try as hard as they usually did at the start of the year. But you should not give up. You should finish the year strong. Grades are very important and should be good all throughout the year. Even if you had good grades the first three marking periods you should do just as well in the fourth marking period. Missing a lot of school and giving up isn’t going to do yourself any good at all. You should do what’s best for you and do what you’re capable of. If you’re not doing too well then reach out to a teacher. There should be no reason to allow yourself do poorly.
Just because the school year is slowly ending doesn’t mean the education stops. You should finish out strong because summer is coming up! So that should motivate you to do well so you can have a very fun summer and maybe not get grounded or worse, summer school. If you are struggling then ask a parent or teacher for help. Even though it’s the end of the year it doesn’t mean you cannot get a tutor for a certain class.
Finish out strong on all of your exams. For freshmen and juniors the NJSLA is coming up. You should try your best on those tests and don’t just guess. These are being reviewed in most of your classes. So you should get a good idea on what the exams are going to look like. These are very important to show how much you know. So make sure to try your best.
At the end of the year there will also be another EMPA. These will be a good portion of your final grades so pay attention in class. The content of these exams depend on what you have learned this year and will be very important. So make sure to pay attention to all of your lessons so you know everything. The worst thing you can do is to not pay attention and then flunk the EMPA. This could bring down your average by a lot and cause you to possibly fail. So make sure when the time comes to actually try your best.
Don’t give up now! End the school year as strong as you started it.
