Being a senior in the last year of high school is a unique and exciting experience. It is a time filled with mixed emotions and nostalgia as you prepare to close one chapter of life and begin another. The final year brings with it a sense of accomplishment, having navigated through years of academic challenges and personal growth. It is a period of reflection, when you look back on the different memories, friendships and lessons learned, while the excitement grows for what might come in the future.
The Clarion asked Senior, Ammie Cavero about her high school years. My first question to Ammie Cavero was, “How many years have you been in Hawthorne High School?” She responded with “I have been in HHS for 3 years.”
The Clarion then asked Ammie two more questions, those two questions were, “What would you say to freshmen now to prepare themselves for high school?” and “”What is one thing you might miss when leaving high school?” Ammie Cavero then answered, “Just enjoy your high school experience, focus on your studies, do what motivates you the most, always be yourself and a unique individual. The thing you will miss most is your childhood. The fun you can have and the need to not care about having to work and be able to relax.”
The last two questions asked of Ammie Cavero were, “What do you have planned for the future?” and “What is your favorite school memory?” Ammie replied, “For the future, I want to pursue my career and be able to live life to the fullest. My favorite school memory is my 3D art class and making anything that I wanted.” Ammie Cavero seems to have had a great high school experience and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
Senior Gianni Girgenti-Diaz was asked about his high school years, and he provided The Clarion with a wealth of information. Gianni’s first question was, “ How many years have you been to Hawthorne High School?”
Gianni Girgenti-Diaz then responded with, “I have been going to Hawthorne High school for 3 years. This will be my fourth year.”
Gianni was then asked, “What would you say to freshmen now to prepare themselves?” and “What is one thing you will miss when you leave Hawthorne High School?” Gianni informed said, “I would tell people not to worry, it’s not that hard just to do your school work and homework. If you complete these you will be fine.”
To answer the second question, Gianni stated, “One thing I will miss when I leave is some teachers and people who I won’t see out of school.”
Lastly, an additional question The Clarion had for Gianni was, “What do you have planned for the future?” Gianni answered the question by saying, “I will go to trade school.” Gianni Girgenti-Diaz also seemed to have had a great high school experience and we will be thrilled to see what the future has in store for him.
In conclusion, Ammie and Gianni talked about their senior year with mixed feelings and much excitement. Ammie stressed the importance of enjoying every moment and being yourself, while Gianni focused on the value of hard work and focusing on the future. Their experiences give a good look at senior year and offers helpful advice for the underclassmen.
