April Fool’s Day: An Opinion

April Fool’s Day: An Opinion

Liam Duffy, Staff Writer

Everyone knows about the “holiday” that comes but once a year in April; of course, it is April Fool’s Day.

It seems like people these days are not interested in April Fool’s Day. Maybe some people don’t have a sense of humor or they are just too mature to go around pranking people for fun. Some people may think April Fool’s Day is just a lame holiday.

But believe it or not, April Fool’s Day can do some good because it can spread joy, not just mischief. It can inspire others to have a positive outlook on life and to pep up someone’s day with a joke or a prank that they might find funny. Just don’t go too overboard or you might get the person so angry and you will get a black eye.

Do a prank that is so simple that it won’t get the person mad and make them realize its comical idea. Do a joke that can turn around someone’s day, from a bad one to a good one, putting a smile on their faces.

There are many ways to spread joy on April Fool’s Day if you really think about it. It isn’t all about going around and pranking people for reasons like revenge, comedy, or madness. It is about changing our usual and boring schedule and adding something to our lives to spice it up. It is sort of like opening a present you found on your doorstep and you wonder what it is that is inside of the box. The surprise will either be good or bad, but it should always be good when it is April Fool’s Day.
