HHS: So Far, So Good?
October 29, 2021
Student opinions about our school vary from student to student.
I asked some students how their school year has been so far. Some say good, some say bad…this all depends on the student that you ask. The Clarion interviewed some students to get their thoughts on this this question: How is the school year so far?
The first student the Clarion interviewed was Dezmind Hensz, who is a junior at Hawthorne High School.
Question- “How is the school year so far?”
Dezmind- “Good I guess…I think juniors should be able to leave for lunch.”
Question- “What’s your favorite thing about our school?”
Dezmind- “I don’t really have a favorite thing besides sports.”
Question- “What’s your least favorite thing about school?”
Dezmind- “Waking up early.”
Question- “ If you could change anything about the school what would it be?”
Dezmind – “I would change the time we come to school to 9am…and the option for virtual or in person.”
Another student the Clarion interviewed is Arijana Sulejmani who is a freshman here at HHS.
Question- “How is the school year so far?”
Arijana– “I Like it so far because it is better than middle school, you get more freedom.”
Question- “What’s your favorite thing about school?”
Arijana- “ My favorite thing is lunch.”
Question- “What’s your least favorite thing about school?”
Arijana- “My least favorite thing is Bio.”
Question- “ If you could change anything about the school what would it be?”
Arijana- “If I could change anything I would change, that all students should go out of lunch and not just seniors.”
The last student the Clarion interviewed was Narita Batej who is also a freshman here at HHS.
Question- “How is the school year so far?”
Narita- “I like this school year so far because it is fun.”
Question- “What’s your favorite thing about school?”
Narita- “My favorite thing about school is lunch.”
Question- “What’s your least favorite thing about school?”
Narita- “My least favorite thing about school is Math and Bio…both my least favorite things in school.”
Question- “ If you could change anything about the school what would it be?”
Narita- “If I could change anything it would be for everyone to be able to go out for lunch.”
In conclusion, the students here at Hawthorne High School have mixed feelings about the 2021-2022 school year so far, but we can only hope in the future their mindsets change in a positive way. Thanks for reading!
