2022 has come to an end and 2023 has started. 2022 had a bunch of ups and downs. Now that the new year is here, people are saying “New Year, New Me” and coming up with resolutions and goals for the new year to make themselves better.

Some resolution ideas and some goals:

  1. Give someone 1 compliment a day. You never know, it just might make their day much better
  2. Read a book a month. Reading is good for you.
  3. Try some place you’ve never been to. Getting out of your comfort zone is good for your soul.
  4. Clean out the gutter. Cleaning and organizing around your house will make you feel not as stressed for the new year and it will make it feel like you have accomplished something.
  5. Volunteer. Volunteering is not only doing something for yourself, it helps other people as well, and you’re doing something nice for people.
  6. Write something you’re grateful for every night. End your night with gratitude and you’ll feel better when you lay your head on your pillow and go to sleep.
  7. Drink more water. You’ve probably heard that your body needs it. 75 percent of us are chronically dehydrated. Drink up!
  8. Treat yourself with kindness. We aim to be nicer to others, but mean to ourselves. Think nicer of yourself! It’s good for your health

There are many other goals that people have for the year. You might have some goals yourself. As long as you try to accomplish those goals during the year, you will have no problem feeling like you did something important and that you have accomplished something.

Happy new year…May this year, be your year!
