The first lady, Melania Trump, believes that more children should be educated by “humanoid educators.”
Do you agree? I disagree. I feel that children should be taught by humans so they have the chance to learn from people that have real life experiences and children need someone they can relate to on an emotional level as well.
Teachers have certain abilities that robots don’t have. They can identify when a student is having a hard time or when a student is visibly upset. Robots can’t do that. Teachers also are able to be role models and inspire students to be better and they can show students what life is like as a working adult. Robots also have the ability to malfunction during a lesson, which could have a bad impact on the learning process.
Instead of AI replacing teachers, it might be better if AI works alongside teachers.
Many articles have stated that having an AI assistant could make teaching easier. Tasks that teachers often struggle with could be easily completed with AI: things like grading, keeping track of schedules, and acting as intelligent assistants.
AI is also being used for tutoring, which could be better for students. Having an AI assistant in a classroom could reduce stress and make a better learning experience for children.
Though AI can’t replicate a real teacher, it could be beneficial for a classroom assistant.
