Cybersecurity is one of the most important yet exploited parts of our society with how people try to take advantage, bypass or profit from it.

Big tech companies such as Facebook and Instagram are some of the biggest offenders for this as there is direct evidence on almost every possible from that AI has already been misused by Facebook, as many use AI to spread misinformation, generate false pictures and videos many of which are able to be used for things like scamming and generally ponzi schemes to downright malicious intent such as being used to promote radical political ideologies many of which are rooted in harmful ways of thinking.

The company itself, like all social media companies, is able to use AI to track users and extract data to do things like pushing specific advertising onto them in order to influence decision making. Although AI can be used for malicious purposes, it can still be used to do good and especially when it comes to how we monitor the internet. AI can be used to look for data traces of illegal materials such as drug trading roots or for data of possible suspects for crimes.

There are many uses to how AI can be used to help out keep the internet safe and should be used whenever possible if it isn’t misused as it can be very harmful. AI is not inherently good or bad for everyone as it has both an equal amount of pros and cons and it depends on the person or people using it and their intent behind their use of it.
