New Teacher: Mr. George Feeny

Rufus T. Firefly, Staff Writer

The 2019-2020 school year has began and there are many new faces among the faculty here at Hawthorne High School. In an ongoing series of articles, The Clarion is proud to introduce Mr. George Feeny, who is a History teacher here at Hawthorne High School…

CLARION: Tell us a little about yourself.

Feeny: This is my 42nd year teaching History (K-12 and college too). I spent five years at the St. Elsewhere hospital in Boston as well.

CLARION: What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?

Feeny: Tending my garden in my backyard and staying away from the annoying Matthew’s boys.

CLARION: Why did you choose this subject to teach?

Feeny: It felt as if teaching were a script, and I was meant to play a teacher.

CLARION: What were you like as a student?

Feeny: Proper…very proper.

Thank you Mr. Feeny for taking the time to answer our questions…if you see Mr. Feeny in the hallways of HHS or your college, just stop and say hello!
