Have you ever wondered how teachers really see the back to school season? Do want to know if they’re really excited for the new year and the new students they get to teach? Do they dread it just as much as their students do?
From a student’s point of view, they assume that teachers enjoy the back to school season and just can’t wait to teach their students this year. This is in fact a true statement.
They are excited to come back into the building and see their colleagues. They like getting back into the routine of teaching. They like teaching new students, or teaching the same students they have had in the previous years.
The new school year is new and exciting: it is a fresh start for everyone. Teachers (and students as well) are energized.
The classrooms are alive and full of possibilities. It’s a new day…it’s a fresh start.
As one teacher stated, “The reset button is pushed…let’s make this the very best year.”
