Senior Spotlight: Timon Penna

Fabio Hiciano, Staff Writer

“Senior Spotlight” will be an ongoing series throughout the school year, highlighting graduating seniors and their thoughts about their time here at Hawthorne High School, as it comes to a close. Next up, is Timon Penna.

Clarion: What is your favorite sport to play in gym?

Timon: I have many, but my favorite would have to be basketball. It’s fun…it gets me energized…I like playing a sport where I never stop moving. People have told me that I am pretty fast.

Clarion: What is your favorite class in the school?

Timon: My two favorite classes would have to be Journalism with Mr. Vanwinkle and Performance English with Mrs. Hackett.

Clarion: What are your plans after high school?

Timon:  I got accepted to Lincoln Tech and want to be a mechanic for high end sports cars.

Clarion: How has your senior year been?

Timon: It has been fairly easy…and a lot of fun so far.

Clarion: What is one thing you would change about the school?

Timon: I would change the lunch schedule…not a big fan of the split lunches.

Clarion:  Why would the lunch schedule need changing?

Timon: There is not enough time to get lunch outside of the school and be back in time. Especially, when you are on foot.

Clarion: Any advice for upcoming freshman?

Timon: Know who your real friends are and keep a small circle.
