Senior, Steve Walls, will attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy after he graduates Hawthorne High School in order to pursue a career as a ship captain. He decided that he wants to attend this college because Massachusetts Maritime Academy specializes in that career field.

Recalling his years at HHS, Steve said, “Just being with everyone everyday was always fun and interesting.  Thank you to everyone for making my four years at HHS unforgettable.”

When asked if he felt that the education that he received at Hawthorne High School has prepared him well for his future, he said, “Absolutely, the teachers here really care and push us students to be our best selves in and out of the classroom.  I have learned a ton of valuable lessons that I will utilize in a college format.”
