The Clarion interviewed middle school students about their experiences and feelings regarding HHS. Recently, we spoke with a 7th grader who shadowed a student at the school to gain insights into high school life.
The Clarion:What’s your favorite activity to do outside of class?
Student: My favorite activity outside of class is drawing because it is creative and fun. I can do it when I’m bored or even during school if I finish my work or have a free period. It helps me relieve stress and calms me down.
The Clarion: What are your favorite hobbies?
Student:My favorite hobbies are drawing, watching TV shows and movies, and playing soccer with my cousins after school or on weekends.
The Clarion:Are you excited to be a high schooler at HHS?
Student:Yes, I am excited to be a high schooler at HHS because I’ll be older, more mature, closer to graduating, and figuring out what I want to do in life.
The Clarion: Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
Student:I’m still not 100% sure, but I want to be a dentist, a cat sitter, or a dog sitter because that’s how I envision my future.
The Clarion:If you could be any animal, what kind would you be?
Student: If I could be any animal, I would choose to be a cat because they are flexible and can run very fast. But mainly, I would choose a cat because they are really cute and, depending on the breed, can be very affectionate and active.
