It’s a very popular tradition between families where the parents will bring out a toy elf during December and tell their kids that the elf comes from the North Pole. In most cases, usually a name is given to the elf. It is said from parents that the elf is here to keep an eye on the kids. They can see if they are being good or bad: in the case that they are being bad, the elf will go on to tell Santa and then they will become a part of the naughty list, and not get a gift for Christmas.
Secret Santa is a very popular tradition between extended families, sports teams, and friend groups. During this tradition, names are put into a hat and mixed together to be picked out by one person for each name. With the name that you choose, you must buy that person a gift for christmas. Never anything too expensive, usually a budget is given between 5-20 dollars. It’s a cute and fun little idea that you could do with any type of group. It can make people closer and become a bonding experience.
