As the school year comes to an end, many students tend to slack and not work.
But the school year doesn’t truly end until EMPAS are over. EMPAS are in June so we still have some time to go. To keep ourselves motivated, here are some tips and tricks on how to not fall behind.
One of the best ways to avoid the end of the year slump is to stay organized. When students keep track of their assignments, due dates, and tests they are less likely to fall behind or feel overwhelmed with themselves. Using a planner, checklist or phone reminders can help school feel more manageable. Organization helps reduce stress for the students because they know what they have to complete and when it’s due date is.
Setting small and realistic goals can help students stay motivated during the final weeks of school. Instead of thinking of the entire workload you have to do, start breaking it into a 20 minute task that makes it feel easier and less stressful to do.
Taking care of your body and mind is very important for avoiding burnout at the end of the year. Getting enough sleep helps improve focus and concentration while also eating healthy foods gives your brain energy. When students take short breaks it helps them not feel tired and annoyed when it concerns their assignments. When students feel physically better they are likely to stay more motivated in class.
Staying involved in school activities and spending time with supportive friends can make the end of the year more enjoyable as well. When students stay engaged, school tends to feel less stressful and more fun. Positive friendships can also encourage motivation and help students push through tiredness.
To conclude these are just a couple of tips and tricks that could help with the end of the school year. As we get closer to summer people begin to forget about school: but with these positive tips, hopefully everyone can make a little more time to end the school year on a high note.
