Girls Tennis: Wrap-Up 2015
December 9, 2015
The Hawthorne High School girls varsity tennis team had a great season this year. Their final record was 9-6. The girls worked hard all season and really impressed everyone this year. From the seniors to the freshmen, everyone had great things to say about the way the season turned out.
Freshmen Kaylee Garcia said, “We had a fun and exciting year. I can’t wait until next year…hopefully more girls will join next season to make the hard work spent here even better.”
Senior Erika La Monaca commented on their wonderful year as well by saying, “I was happy about how the season went, and despite having a new coach I think we all worked together and performed to the best of our abilities.”
Everyone involved had a great experience playing for the high school and are looking forward to the next season. The seniors, Erika La Monaca, Nicole D’Ascoli, Brianna Garcia, and Martina Rogers, all made an impact on the team, on and off the court.
Their coach, John Codomo, agreed by saying, “The girls really impressed me with the way they worked together and grew as a team. They came to realize that each of them had an important part of making us have a victorious season.”
