TJ Palmer Becomes Mr. 1,000

Logan Rivera and Michael Schneider

On February 14, senior TJ Palmer became the second player in Hawthorne High School history to score 1,000 points over his four years on the HHS Varsity Boys Basketball.

In this historical game TJ dropped 33 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the Bears to the victory over Elmwood Park. Sophomore Miguel Melendez had 14 points and 6 rebounds, while Shane Rooney had 7 points in the game.

Even though this is a big milestone TJ continues to focus on leading Hawthorne in the state tournament and take the state title home for the first time ever.

Go Bears!!!
