UFC Goes Exclusive on ESPN+

The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) has just made a big announcement regarding their contract with ESPN and their streaming service ESPN+.

Dana White, president of the UFC, announced that ESPN+ will become the new exclusive home to all future UFC pay-per-view events.  The first of these events will be UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2, on April 13.

Although commercial shows will still able to purchase the ppv’s, while private home cable and satellite providers are being cut.  Each ppv will cost $59.99 + the additional $4.99 a month for the steaming service.

This is a great move for UFC, because Fight Night is already on ESPN+, so their next move was eventually going to be to put the ppv’s on ESPN+.
