This week for the NFL has been crazy! During the 2019 off-season, many teams have made big moves to make their teams elite.

There have been 3 very big trades that occurred earlier this week. First, star wide receiver Antonio Brown who played for the the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last 9 seasons has been traded to the Oakland Raiders. Next, all star running back Le’veon Bell, who also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2013-2017 has signed with the New York Jets. Finally, all star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been traded to the Cleveland Browns after playing the last 5 seasons with the New York Giants.

Earlier this week, NFL superstar Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers was traded to the Oakland Raiders. Brown wanted out of Pittsburgh for a while, but no trade was accepted until March 10. There were rumors that the star was part of a deal with the Buffalo Bills. These were just rumors and we later learned he would be sent to the bay area for two draft picks. The Steelers received a third-round and a fifth-round pick, which are the 66th and 142nd picks. Brown will also receive a pay raise from his new team. His three year deal will increase from $38.93 million to $50.13 million. No extension was added to his contract so he will be with the team for three seasons.

The New York Jets also made a big move during this wild week in the NFL. The New York Jets had the second most cap space in the NFL, so they had a lot of money to spend on big players. The Jets first signed linebacker C.J. Mosley to a five year, 85 million dollar deal. Then the Jets were going to sign linebacker Anthony Barr, but Barr backed out of the contract. That gave the Jets more money to sign Le’veon Bell. Bell signed a 4 year, 52.5 million dollar deal and will have 35 million dollars guaranteed. Le’veon Bell will be a great fit for the New York Jets.

In another huge surprise move, Odell Beckham Jr. was traded from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns. This was shocking to most fans all around the league. The Giants received a first-round pick, as well as a third-round pick, along with Jabrill Peppers for the young star wide receiver. Beckham is on a 5-year, $90 million extension given by the Giants in August. The Giants have 12 picks in this upcoming draft, including two in the first-round as they look to rebuild their team.
