With the Cheerleading Worlds coming up on April 27, it is safe to say that this year’s championship will be one for the books. The reason for this, it will be the 15th consecutive World Championships of All-Star Cheerleading.

The Cheerleading Worlds, the biggest competition in the sport of All-Star Cheerleading, is a multiple-day competition where some of the best teams in the world battle it out for the gold medal of their division. The competition takes place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Arena in Walt Disney World.

As hard as it is to believe, the Cheerleading Worlds was nothing like the production that it is today when it was created in 2004. Back then, there was a limited amount of divisions, a smaller arena, and a limited amount of seats. But as the sport became more popular and advanced, so did the Cheerleading Worlds. Fast forward to today, the competition is what every team dreams of winning. Compared to 2004, the modern version of the competition is almost unrecognizable.

The 2019 Cheerleading Worlds will truly be one for the ages. Good luck to all the teams competing and to the runners/producers of the competition!
