On Thursday, September 23, the Hawthorne Girls Volleyball Team played away against their longtime rival Glen Rock.

In a tight and exciting game, the girls unfortunately fell 2-0 with scores of 15-25 in set one, and 21-25 in set two. The Lady Bears fought hard, with a total of four kills: Karolyn Moro scored three points, and Leah Alves added the fourth.

Setter, Sydney Reicher had a great game with four assists, five digs, and three aces. Leah Alves, Zoe Amador, and Karolyn Moro had two digs each, with Kaitlyn Costello and Nicole Montes adding one each, for a total of 13 digs. T

he volleyball team has a record of 7-6 this season, and will play Glen Rock again, at home on 10/14. We wish the girls good luck and a great season!
