The NBA All Star game is a break for the players that are playing their hardest trying to get into the playoffs.

During this break the fans get to vote on who they want to see in the NBA All-Star Game. As many new superstar players are rising to the top we are seeing new faces in the game every year. The Eastern Conference All Stars that will be starting are Kevin Durant(BKN), Giannis Antetokounmpo(MKE), Joel Embiid (PHL),Trae Young(ATL), and DeMar DeRozan(CHI). The starters for the Western Conference are LeBron James(LAL), Nikola Jokic(DEN), Andrew Wiggins(GSW), Stephen Curry(GSW), and Ja Morant(MEM).

This is Ja Morrant and Andrew Wiggins first all star appearances.

The All Star reserves will be announced on February 3. There is a new change to all star weekend; previously there would be a Team World vs Team USA. This year it is a rising stars tournament featuring the 12 NBA Rookies,12 NBA Sophomores and (for the first time) 4 players from the NBA G League Ignite will be also playing. These 28 players will be split into 4 different teams and their coaches will be members of NBA 75.
