The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional American football team that was established in 1933 and they are a member of the NFC East division of the NFL.
They have been one of the more competitive and better teams in the NFL in recent years, as well as winning two Super Bowls. With a passionate fan-base and a history of strong performances, the Eagles are known for intense rivalries, particularly with the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
Their first Super Bowl was in 2018 where they played against and took on the New England Patriots and won over a score of 41-33. Their second was on February 9, 2025 where they played against and took on the Kansas City Chiefs over a score of 40-22. This was some kind of revenge for the Eagles since the last time that they played against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl was on February 12, 2023. This was where the Eagles lost against the Chiefs by a field goal.
During the Super Bowl on February 9, 2025, the Eagles had a tremendous and awesome start to the first half by scoring two touchdowns, forcing an interception return and a field goal kick. All of these plays were established and done by the help of Jalen Hurts, Cooper DeJean, A.J. Brown and Jake Elliott in the first half. They are one of the most athletic and active players on the team.
In the 3rd quarter, Jake Elliott made a field goal kick, along with Jalen Hurts forcing a 46 yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith to make it 34-0 with 2:40 left in the 3rd quarter. With 0:34 left in the 3rd quarter, this was where the Chiefs felt like they started to come back by just a little. Patrick Mahomes threw a 24 yard pass to Xavier Worthy, but was not able to make the 2-point attempt.
However, toward the end of the 4th quarter with 2:54 left, the Chiefs finally pushed themselves to put more points on the board by having Patrick Mahomes throw a 7 yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins, along with the 2-point attempt being good.
Patrick Mahomes was not done just yet. With 1:48 left, Patrick Mahomes pulled off one of the most impressive plays for the Chiefs by throwing a 50 yard touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy, and once again, being able to make the 2-point attempt fair which improved to 40-22 as the score.
But that was that. The Chiefs lost and the mighty impressive Philadelphia Eagles won. This year, once again, the Eagles have a pretty good start to the season, going 4-2.
