The Super Bowl is the championship game of the NFL. This championship is between the best team in the NFC (National Football Conference) and the best team in the AFC (American Football Conference). This year’s super bowl was between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. 

The Seahawks beat the Patriots 29-13. The kicker of the Seahawks Jason Myers was 5/5 on field goals and 2/2 of extra points. That means that he scored 17 total points for the Seahawks. This is more points than the entire New England Patriots team combined. 

The Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker was the Super Bowl MVP. He rushed for 135 yards and received for 26 yards totaling 161 yards. He made the Patriots miss 9 tackles and got 71 of his yards off of that. The Patriots before this did not give up over 35 yards off of missed tackles the entire season. Kenneth Walker doubled that number in the biggest game of his life. This is the first time since 1998 that a running back won the superbowl MVP award. 

The Seahawks defense was unreal. They sacked the quarterback 6 times and allowed 0 explosive runs. In the first quarter alone the Seahawks already had a 98% chance to win. Byron Murphy and Derick Hall both had 2 sacks. The Seahawks had 2 interceptions, one of them being by Uchenna Nwosu who returned it for a touchdown. The Seahawks let up 79 yards of rushing in total and the longest one was 16 yards by Drake Maye.
