Christine Peterson, senior at Hawthorne High School, plans to pursue a career in criminal justice.
Peterson feels criminal justice is right for her because she has always been interested in the study of a criminal mind. She always felt that criminal justice was something she was passionate about. “Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always wanted to be a cop. It’s something I’ve always stuck with,” said Peterson.
After high school, Peterson plans to continue her education Berkeley College, which has always been her top choice. She exclaimed that one visit to Berkeley College in Woodland Park, New Jersey had her completely hooked. Peterson stated, “I plan on becoming a cop, then working my way up to a DEA [Drug Enforcement Administrator] or detective.”
During her time at Hawthorne High School, Peterson was involved in the Drama Club, as well as being a part of the track team. Peterson enjoys reading, roaming the Internet, and DJ-ing with her friends.
