As part of 
the Library Media Center Orientation program, freshmen students in English teacher Jill Hackett’s class were engaged in a scavenger hunt-like activity encouraging them to explore the Reference Room, the non-fiction stacks, the computer lab and the Reading Lounge Café (where they found the Student Art Gallery, fiction books, magazines, newspapers, TV, and vending machines). These students then moved to the computer lab where they learned how to access the library’s online catalog, databases, and eBooks.
