The Hawthorne Environmental Committee will be hosting its 22nd Annual Cel-Earth-Bration Day on April 26, 2014 at Lincoln Middle School.
This year’s theme is “A Greener Path to a Healthy You.” The day will include a presentation by Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery, games, refreshments, and lots of fun. New this year will be Hawthorne’s first Trashion Show. The Trashion show is a fun, creative way that encourages students to turn their recyclables into clothing and compete to win a prize.
Students in grades kindergarten through 12th are welcome to create projects and enter the competition. Projects entered must be created by students and follow this year’s theme. Project drop off is at 9:30 a.m. followed by the awards ceremony taking place at 2:00 p.m. and project pick-up at 2:30 p.m.
Entry into Cel-Earth-Bration is free, but any donations received on that day will benefit the LMS Ecology Club and Hawthorne High School Ecology Club.
Be sure to stop by and show your support for the Hawthorne Environmental Committee at an event that is sure to be a big hit.
