Vintage in Full Circle: Vintage is the word used to describe the style and items of the past anywhere from 1950-1990. From fashion, to music, to how time was spent then, it’s all a full circle moment with vintage trends coming about. As of now, most of this vintage style has come full circle, with new trends from fashion to music making a huge comeback in the industry. From just the classic things to people mimicking the classics and bringing them back. Here are some of the top vintage trends so far!
Fashion: When it comes to fashion everybody expresses themselves differently. Although the year is 2025, some people still express their fashion from 2005, 1995, 1985 and even 1975! When it comes to being “in trend” everyone’s version is different. The biggest comeback we’ve seen as “vintage” includes bell bottom jeans, baggy low rise pants, off the shoulder tops, vests, Converse sneakers, crew neck sweaters and sweatshirts, even fun colors added onto all of that as well as much more!
Music: Now let’s be real, who doesn’t love music? It is a way to get pumped up or just relax and enjoy whatever music you love. The 60’s had those dazzling love songs with subtle rock or smooth blues and jazz tunes. When the 70’s rolled around rock was extremely popular with bands like Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, Van Halen, The Cars, Journey and so much more becoming popular around the world and still popular today. When the 80’s approached quickly music still remained classic rock, with a touch of the love theme to fit into movies with bands like Depeche Mode, The Police, and Hall & Oates to heavier rock such as Metallica and Twisted Sister. All of these then popular bands and their music are still making hits today from this generation loving what their parents show them.
Movies: Last (but never least) we have movies. When it comes to movies you can never beat nor remake the classics. From movies like Footloose, Grease, The Godfather, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Dirty Dancing, the list can go on forever. From romance to action to thrillers nothing can beat a classic. The 80’s was what some would say was a peak in movies, making sense as to why all of these films remain popular today. From The Breakfast Club, The Goonies, The Lost Boys and a highschool classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. These movies tie in with music and some of the best soundtracks ever created.
As we discussed, most trends seen today are a form of a vintage comeback from fashion to music to movies to all of it combined! Meaning you can never go wrong with a classic, but always be you! Express yourself with what you love no matter the decade!
