The HHS Tech Team, under the supervision of Network Administrator Enrico Cupillari, recently unpacked, installed and imaged six new computers in the Library Media Center computer lab—bringing the total number of computers in this lab to 36.
The Tech Team is comprised of students who enter an apprentice program to learn the basics of school-centered technology. These students are then on call to help teachers and students who need assistance with daily tech problems such as accessing the Parent Portal, using the Promethean Board, creating PowerPoint presentations, scanning print copy into the computer, and much more.
A full internship program is in development that would give trained and experienced Tech Team students 15 credits in their senior year through the Structured Learning Experience (SLE) program. Students would be assigned to district schools each afternoon to be on hand to assist teachers with the application of technology in the classroom.
