If you have not already heard, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their resignation from the Buckingham Palace in London, England. That’s right! They have both decided to give up a life of fame, wealth, and royalty to live normal lives. 

On January 8th, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to share their surprising news with the world. They mentioned how they plan on leaving the Royal Palace to live out the rest of their lives being financially independent in Canada. The outburst of this breaking news took the entire world by storm.

Although many people were excited about their life-changing announcement, the royal family had mixed emotions with Harry and Meghan’s sudden decision. Prince William and his wife were puzzled that Prince Harry would give up his luxurious lifestyle to live amongst middle-class individuals. 

Despite their concerns, Queen Elizabeth II claimed that she would allow Prince Harry and Meghan to make a transition from being full-time royals to living independently. “Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working members of the royal family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”
