As many events have happened in 2020, the BLM Movement started in June of 2020 after George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Black Lives Matter Movement was started to fight against racism in today’s society. The movement is also protesting police brutality.

Due to Covid-19, everything was shut down. There was nothing to do, nowhere to go. Everyone was just sitting in front of a computer screen, TV, etc. When George Floyd’s death was recorded, everybody saw it.

During the protests, police dressed up in riot gear, fired tear gas and shot rubber bullets. There is a difference between riots and protests. Riots would be destroying cities and stores, which isn’t peaceful. Protests are for everyone’s voices to be heard.

As we enter 2021, everyone’s voices are still being heard, and they will continue to have their voices heard.
