You just got a job and want to start saving your money? Maybe for a car, clothes or just a trip you’ve always wished to do? I think I might have the best 3 tips to get you started, and get you to your goal as soon as possible.
Something that has gotten very popular recently are these savings challenge books. They consist of different pages and each one has a different amount label on it. The purpose of these books is to fill in each section slowly when you get a chance or might just have extra cash available. The books also include a section where you can keep track of how much money you have saved.
The second option, which in this case is the one I used (since I feel like it’s the easiest and most reliable), is using the notes in your phone. For this, you could just go into Google or Pinterest and search “money saving templates.” The one I like the most are the ones that give you different savings options, from 5 dollars to even 100 dollars.
This way if you don’t have anything close to 100 dollars, but might have enough for something close to 5 dollars, you are still able to save. What I do to keep track of my savings in this case is just color in each section, that way I know it’s already completed and I can move on to the next one.
Lastly, but not least, this is one of the most popular ways of saving. Go to your closest family dollar, target or dollar tree and buy a piggy bank. Each time you go out to eat with your friends or purchase anything in general and have some cash left just dump that into your piggy bank. In no time, you will have enough money for that car, trip, or item that you might want. What I like about this one is that you can’t just take the money out whenever you want, giving you a higher chance of saving up without spending.
