For many the New Year can start with a “New You.”
It’s symbolic to try to make a change as we enter a new year: in a way it gives you a clean slate, a refresh, and even a restart.
For this article The Clarion asked many people about their New Year’s Resolutions, and these were their responses:
Joseph Haddad: “To read more, and not specifically to focus solely on myself, but to focus on understanding myself and processing my emotions and feelings better…I’ve been journaling and it’s helping me process how I feel about things. Oftentimes I just go with the flow, but I want to pay attention to how things affect me more.”
Sarah Conrad: “To speak my mind, to not hold back from anything.”
Chloe Terraglia: “I’m just trying to workout more and make more music, or like put a band together.”
Serenity Campbell: “Overthink less and be more out of my comfort zone.”
Jackson Ishmuratov: “Spend more time on hockey and get better study habits.”
Grace Savino: “Visit more museums (I habitually only visit the Museum of Natural History), drink more tea (for pretty much all of my junior year I started my day with a vat sized tumbler of green tea with lemon and honey), finish Moby Dick (I absolutely love the classics).”
