The World According to Shakir: Holiday Shopping

Shakir Shakiri

Well folks, it’s that time of year again. The weather is colder, the nights are getting shorter and yes, Christmas is right around the corner.

And let’s face it: everybody is so excited to go shopping for everyone’s favorite holiday!

Sure, the traffic is going to be extremely busy: bumper to bumper of cars, gridlocked on Route 17 and Route 4. So I think it’s best that people should go weeks before Christmas, this way the traffic wont be so bad.

And how about the malls? The malls are going to be packed! There are going to be big discounts in many stores, and I’m patiently waiting for the discounts at “Finish Line.”

I want to get a pair of Jordans and Pumas. Most people are buying trees, some are going to get plastic trees and some will get the real trees. They even sell trees by Corrados Pet Market right here in Hawthorne. Im getting the 11 footer tree, and then I’m probably getting all the ornaments from Walmart or Kmart.

Listen, whatever you choose to do, do it, and have fun. Whatever you choose to buy, buy it and make someone happy.

After all, that’s what the holidays are all about.
