No Lights? No Problem

This past Thursday, the Marching Band had arrived at school at 5:30 for practice to prepare for a weekend full of performances. As the students arrived, they all noticed that the lights on the football field were not on. There were questions as to where the band was going to practice, but Mr Williams came prepared.

For the first hour and a half of practice, the marching band stayed in the band room and ran through their music, while the percussion went into Room 113 to go over their music, and the color guard went to the cafeteria to go over their routine.

When the hour and a half was up, everyone returned to the band room for a short meeting before Mr Williams told everyone to gather outside with instruments and equipment.

As we lined up and went to “the ready”, the lights on the field were still not on and Mr Williams announced that we were going to march around the school once and cut through the teacher’s parking lot. Even though we couldn’t march on the track, that didn’t stop the Marching Band. Go Bears!
