The Hawthorne High School “Stands With Ukraine” donation drive will begin on Monday, March 21.

Items needed for donation include non-perishable foods (canned vegetables, boxed cereals and other non-perishable packaged foods), gently worn clothing (preferably winter clothes), and medical supplies (vinyl gloves, masks, sanitizers, body wipes, band-aids, sterile gauze rolls, pain relievers, toriquets, ear plugs, compression bandages, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol wipes, military socks, flashlights, emergency blankets).

Flyers can be found throughout the school, complete with QR code that brings the user directly to an Amazon Wishlist for easy access to the needed items.

Collection boxes for the items can be found in the two cafeterias, the main office, and the HHS Library.

The drive ends on Friday, March 25…on this day students, faculty and staff are asked to wear blue and yellow, to remember and support the country of Ukraine.

All collected items will be sent to the Ukrainian American Cultural Center Of New Jersey, located in Whippany. From there, all of the items will be shipped to the Ukraine.

Let’s all make a difference.
